How Will Jesus Return to Planet Earth?
Jesus came to this planet as a human being, experiencing all that we experience. He was God with us. He completed His sinless ministry on Earth by dying on a cross, paying the penalty for your sins and mine. He conquered death by rising from the grave. Then He ascended back into Heaven and sits on the right hand of the Father.
While here, He promised that one day He would return. He said, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." - John 14:2-3
On the day that Jesus left Earth and returned to Heaven, the Bible tells us that "While they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven" - Acts 1:9-11.
Contrary to what you've been told, the Second Coming of Christ is no secret!
The Apostle John wrote, "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen - Revelation 1:7.
"And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory" - Matthew 24:30-31.
"For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be" - Matthew 24:27.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 tells us "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
1 Corinthians 15:52 says "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
"For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels" - Matthew 16:27.
"And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
At the return of Jesus, He will appear in the clouds and every person will see Him approaching Planet Earth. There will be shouts, trumpet blasts, flashes of lightning, billions upon billions of angels accompanying Him, and a flurry of activity as the righteous rise in the air to meet Him. Does that sound like a secret event to you?
The Bible is clear that there is no secret rapture. The false and dangerous teaching of a secret rapture to take the saved to Heaven before the time of trouble has absolutely no legitimate basis in Scripture.
We have the promise of Christ's return and the way that He will return in the clouds. We know that every living person on the planet will see Him. When He returns, it will be a literal, visible, audible and spectacular event, beyond anything we can imagine.
Two important questions for each of us to reflect upon: "Are You Ready for Christ's return? Will you be among the redeemed who will rise to meet Jesus in the air on that day?"
